So saddened to hear of John's passing. It was through our mutual love for music that I got to know John. Having recorded him in Studio Fiona and also having played at John and Nie's wedding it was quite a shock to learn of his untimely passing. John had a lovely warm, positive personality and it was always nice to meet and chat with him.

Sincere condolences to all of John's family and close friends. I had the honour and privilege to know and work with John at Irish Distillers. I have seen multiple descriptions of John as being a 'true gentleman' and I could not agree more. He will be a great loss but he has left a wonderful mark and legacy behind him.

Struggling to come to terms with Johns death. Myself and John started at the distillery on the same day & we had all our training together. We shared an interest in bettering our knowledge & continually training in our own time in order to enhance the experience of the distillery visitors. I felt such a bond with John having been the 1st recruits that summer & he went on to have a lengthy and successful career there. He was such a gentle man who always spoke so fondly of his family. You couldn’t but love John & I was so pleased to bump into him in town last year with his beautiful daughter, on the way to a class. I’m so sorry Nie, Maeve, Michael and the wider family. I feel so sad for you all. Rest in peace John.

Shocked and deeply saddened to hear of John's untimely passing. I had the honour of working with John at the Jameson Distillery Midleton and I couldn't speak more highly of him. To know John was to know how much he loved and cherished his family, who my heart goes out to at this extremely difficult time. He was a true gentleman, a beacon of positivity and an expert on the world of Irish whiskey. John taught me a huge amount and his words of wisdom stay with me to this day. I will always look back fondly on the laughs and memories we shared behind the bar in Midleton. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace John.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of John’s passing. I only met John on a few occasions down in Midleton but he had such an overwhelmingly positive attitude and spirit each time when I met him, especially when teaching others about the wonderful world of Irish whiskey. He was a true expert in his craft and was able to instil such a passion of Irish whiskey in people that he had just met. He was a pleasure to work with.
