To all the Magill family. John was an absolute gent and everyone in Kill and the surrounding area's looked forward to seeing him every summer. He will be sadly missed in these parts. Sleep easy Big John.

Daniel and Kelly, we were so sorry to hear that John (affectionately known as Big J) has passed. The last time we had the pleasure of John’s company he spoke of how proud he was of you guys and your families.

Sincere condolences Kelly, Daniel and all the Magill family on the loss of dear Big John. He brought a lot of joy and wonder to our community for years. He was an ambassador for New Zealand and tried to convince us to sell everything here and move to New Zealand to start a dairy farm there! He will be fondly remembered. May he rest in eternal peace.

Such fond memories of John over the years, travelling to all the Waterford hurling games and the National ploughing matches with us and my mother over the years .The banter, stories and laughter was always a tonic.
What an interesting, intelligent, kind gentle giant he was . Jack had the privilege of staying with John in New Zealand, will always be thankful for his kindness and hospitality.
