I just heard the terrible news today of Jonny’s passing. My sincere condolences to Phil and family.

Jonny was such a lovely and funny person. I spend so much time in my youth at the Mallon family home. . My deepest condolences to Tish and the Mallon family.

Phil, I just heard of the passing of John. Our deepest sympathy to you and the whole family. John was a giant among those who knew him. He regaled us always with his stories, his laughter will be in our ears forever, his thirst for understanding and other things, his generosity of spirit, sense of wonderful divilment is unsurpassable, and John was treasured friend for close on 30 years. John will be most sadly missed though forever in our hearts. RIP John - it is not the same world without you.

We were saddened to read of John’s death. We knew him from the Millennium Park. He was always so chatty and friendly with a lovely smile. He always had time for Rory, our retired Guide dog and Quinto , our working Guide dog. Rory always went for the rub and kind word from John. May he rest in peace. We will think of him each time we will walk in the Millennium Park. Carmel, Anne,Rory and Quinto.

My condolences to the Mallon family on the death of John. In the Millennium Gardens John befriended my two dogs, who threw themselves at his feet in the early mornings light and refused to move from his side. John's dog watched, knowing only Zorro would go home in the car. A lover of a good debate John spoke to everyone who approached him at his place at the railings. He is missed by all his friends in the Gardens, especially the group who meet at eleven to talk and walk. May he rest in peace, with a wind at his back and the seas far horizon in his sights.

So sorry for your great loss Phil, Michelle and Des. Johnny was a great friend. Such a decent person. I will miss him greatly.
