I am deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. He was a lovely neighbour and friend. We had many hours of chatting. Our last walk and chat he gave me a donation to the girls basketball trip. John was very kind and generous. Rest in the big garden in the sky John, we will miss you Donna & Family

I will miss you dearly, Grandad John. Being your grandson brought with it many joyful memories. I remember you taking me to the amusements in Bray. I remember that you were a big fan of a white magnum ice cream on a sunny day in the garden. I’m glad that I got to spend some time with you in Cavan not long ago, and happy that we shared some of our favourite music and some memories of the past. You’d ask me to go and pick you up another bag of compost to work on the garden. It kept me busy while I was working from home! I like to think you are tending to another garden somewhere else, perhaps enjoying another white magnum ice cream. Maybe one day I’ll be along with another bag of compost! Until then, rest in peace, Grandad. Le grá, your grandson.
