I am very sorry to hear of the death of John who was a lovely man. I remember he was incredibly kind to me – so cheerful and jolly – back in the 1970s when I spent a week or two in the Louth before being shipped off to hospital in Dublin. He knew me because his lovely wife Rita (RIP) was a niece of my father, Jem Duffy, but I think John was just kind and helpful to everyone. Deepest condolences to his children and grandchildren.
