On behalf of the members and Committee of the OHS I would like to offer our sincere condolences. John was a valued and popular member of our Society for many years and gave valued service on our committee. In addition, his knowledge of the history of Public Administration in Ireland was second to non and his advice on this topic was often sought. As a speaker his talks were incisive and interesting and much appreciated by our membership. He will be sadly missed by all of us privileged to have known him but missed even more by you his family.
