John was a great colleague and person. He advised and helped me on a number occasions, without fuss . Even though it was many years ago , I remember his deeds with gratitude and respect. May he rest in peace.

Dear Uncle John, I have so many special childhood memories of the times spent in Clover. How you would have special ice cream waiting for us after our bath time as we dried by the fire, how you would buy us scratch cards at the shop, and not to mention the woolie biscuits! I will miss chatting with you and catching up as we did once in a while in recent times as well as your humour. May you rest in peace now with all of the family gone before you.

I have many happy memories of being in Clover, (my mother’s birthplace), as a child and teenager. That house was a very happy home. I remember Uncle Patrick’s melodeon music, the dancing and stories around the fire and a place where neighbours and friends were always welcomed.
John was the last to leave.
