So sorry to hear the sad news, I always feel poets should live for ever. John will do just that, through his work.
It was my pleasure to know John for the last few years. He was a character. A decent man who loved life a wordsmith and poet. I will miss him. R I P my friend
John and I met back in 1965 I think when working in a pea canning factory in Peterborough and often had a chat about those old times when we collided around Dublin over the last fifty years. Sad to hear it won’t happen again.
Sad to hear of John's death tho I knew he was ill. Proud to remember that I was his first 'personal Typist' for his early poems and articles - many years ago now! He made his presence felt in this world in his own quite way.
Eileen so sorry to hear of your brother John’s death may he Rest In Peace
Fairwell my old friend, it was good to have knowing you may you be understood in your new place of rest.
Sorry to hear this news. John was a kind-spirited man who gave a lot of meaningful support to many an Irish poet. I’m happy to say I did one of his lunchtime slots. May he rest in peace.
Sincere condolences on the death of John. He was a gentleman, a unique person with an original mind. He did good things for the world of Irish poetry, which were appreciated by many of his fellow writers.
