Dear Mary, Rosie, and Eoin ❤️
I am thinking of you all so much at this very sad time. John was such a kind, warm-hearted man, and I always enjoyed his insight during our conversations together. I was lucky enough to know John as a parent to wonderful Eoin, and then later as a great colleague in DPETNS.

John had such a big heart and was so considerate of others. He was the perfect fit for the Educate Together ethos that he cared about so passionately, and he demonstrated kindness and genuine care in his every interaction. Please know that we all stand with you during this very sad time. John has left this world too soon. Much love to you all, Caroline ❤️

Dear Mary, Rosie, Eoin, Rose, Finola, George and extended families.
Out hearts go out to you all at this very sad time. The tragic loss of John is quite simply, immeasurable. Wherever he went and whoever he met had their lives enriched and made worth living.
John and his siblings, along with his parents, played no small part in our lives and generated many lifelong friendships with those of us who grew up in "The Park". Among these were particular ties between members of our families, and the love and care given to us over the decades, will forever be held dear.
He was always a tonic to be around and his generosity and kindness to all who knew him will be remembered forever.
No job was too small ( or sometimes too big) for John and when the work was done, it stayed done !!
A day spent with John was always a day well spent.
Taken away from his beloved family far too soon, may you all be comforted by having had him in your lives, and may he now enjoy eternal rest.

John was always such a bright light in our house when he came to visit I’ll always remember him telling us great stories like the one about letters from soldiers and many more
