Dear Margaret, Sarah and Timon family. I am sure you do not know me, but I have known Greta in my home parish of St. Monica's, Palmers Green for the past four or five years. I am also involved with the Knights of St Columba here in St Monica's. Although we are a male only order, Greta has been a great supporter of us in recent times . I know that Greta has been deeply saddened by the death of her beloved nephew. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting John, he seems like a very kind and friendly man. I would have liked to get him to join the Knights!!! It is tragic when someone so young is taken from us. Please accept my condolences. Greta often tells us of her life and family back in Ireland. Sadly, many of her siblings, like John, are also no longer with us, but she has great stories of her youth and family and I know that they all hold a very special place in her heart. My best wishes to you all. Kevin.

I have so many happy memories associated to my time with John. We won table quizzes, shared buses, visited European cities, argued non-stop about football and shared many jokes, memes and photoshops.

I have known John since 2004 and was in touch with him up until 10 days ago. He always possessed a very intelligent, razor sharp humor style and was known to expand on stories for comedic effect hilariously.

You always had to be on your A game around John or he would find a way to destroy you with a very humourous comment at your expense.

Thank you for all the memories.

My most sincere condolences. I worked with John at eBay and enjoyed working with him so much. I'm in Utah but we saw each other over many Zoom meetings every week. He was always so kind and thankful for responding to his requests. John never failed to send me a thank you with an emoji. It meant a lot to me.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. I worked with John back in the early days of eBay, and on occasion bumped into him in Athlone when he was visiting his family. He was always happy and friendly.
