John Molyneaux

Dear Donal, i am dreadfully sorry to learn about the death of your father. My deepest condolences to you and all your family. I am priviliged to have known John Molyneaux, a true Ballybunion Golf legend. I always found him great company, so knowledgeable , and quietly inspirational. May his memory be a blessing. R. I. P.

It is with a deep sense of sadness that I heard of the passing of your beloved John. Please accept my very deepest sympathies. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Sincerest condolences to the Molyneaux family on the passing of John. He taught me Latin and English back in the late 60s and early 70s, and sewed the seeds of a lifelong love of language and especially of the classics. He gave so generously of his time and expertise in coaching us on the athletics team,encouraging us to always give of our best and to reach for the stars.
May John rest peacefully now among those stars.

A great friend, teacher, mentor ,advisor ..a man of such wisdom and wit and generous to a fault with his advice and vast knowledge of everything from the English and Irish languages, politics,Sport ..particularly golf, racing and GAA.
A man of incredible humour and love of his friends and family.

Every Sunday in the early 1970s he brought athletic teams to events around the county and beyond. His enthusiasm and organisational abilities were an inspiration to us all. Sincere sympathy to the Molyneaux family on the passing of Mr Molyneaux - he taught me in St Michael's College so I could never refer to him as John.

He and Mr Flaherty were very involved in the college football teams and spent endless hours training us and bringing us to matches - never appreciated at the time. They were also very supportive of my brother in his early running years in St. Michael's too.
