I’m sad to see that John has left us. I have memories of him going back to tram times on the Hill of Howth, then the 88, and finally the 31 bus. John was always such a gentleman and interested in those of us he had known since we were children. May be rest in peace.

We were so sorry to hear the sad news of John's passing. He was such a lovely man, a lovely neighbour who was always very kind. May he rest in peace. He will be missed on the road.

To Fiona, Mrs Montague, and all the Montague family, my sincerest condolences. I always loved bumping into him and your mother around Raheny and how after 20 or 30 years he always remembered my name and had time for a chat. Lovely man.
