So sad to just hear now of John's untimely passing, he was such a nice guy with always a great way about him at the Belltable.

I’m heartbroken to hear this news. John and I were cast members in Geoff Gould’s Playboy of The Western World and Dr Faustus at the Everyman in Cork and we toured the country several times in 1999 & 2000. They were such happy times and we were all like a family. So much laughter and John was such a strong character. We were on tour on his 40th birthday and I have a great photo of him posing with the ‘Mr Grumpy’ Mister Men book I got him.

Sincere condolences to John's family and friends. It was the saddest news to hear about John's untimely passing. We have many fond memories of John and the brilliant conversations we have had with him. Such a kind, smart and thoughful person. Thinking of all those who loved him.

I have fond memories of John acting in Toucandance's video for our single, Green Eyes, back around 1990. He and Aoife Cox donned the period garb and strolled around Cratloe House like lord and lady of the manor. He was so obliging and good-humoured that day, and a complete professional once the camera was on. Such a tragic loss. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

My memories of John were in productions of Sive, The Colleen Bán and Scrooge. He had a great talent. He was always kind, easy going and a good listener. John will be a huge loss to the theatre community in Limerick.

John and I were school friends. I met him many years later when he was a well established and successful theatre director and actor. We had a lovely conversation and what struck me about it was that John was the same person I knew as a boy, considerate, engaging and sometimes humble.
