John Nelson

I was very sad to hear of John's passing. He was an absolute gentleman and a great friend to my parents Terry and Rita. My sincere condolences to all the family.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of John. I spent many hours with John and Greta with work. John always had great time for me, was full of positivity and he had lots of wonderful stories. I have very fond memories of him. He was a fantastic person and I always looked forward to visiting!

We were honoured to have John as a friend - he was so kind & considerate and a thorough gentleman. John was on the first team fielded by Clonmore GFC after foundation in December 1947. The last link with that team is now gone but he will not be forgotten. Solas na bhFlaitheas ar a anam dílis.

John was a great man and a loving grandad of 4 children and a beautiful wife Gretta which is my granny.(he also had lots of grandchildren whom made sure he was safe and protected and loved at all times ),she has been a wonderful blessing in grandads life and he loved having her by her side and he also loved the company of his beautiful family who will support him until the end,and grandad never gave up he always smiled in every situation and family event and he was the happiest member of our family and I miss seeing him smile and I miss the memories we made together,he wouldn’t want us to be sad and I want us all to make him proud and I hope he is in a better place and he lived a happy and healthy life with his family by his side for nearly his whole life,may grandad rest in piece and may he fly high 🕊️ I love you buddy,we all miss you
