My sincere condolences to Jean, and all of the Nesbitt family. John was an amazing guy, and I was fortunate enough to have known him since he was a kid, he was a great guy then, always courteous, smiling, helpful and loved a good joke. He loved music from an early age and thankfully for the rest of us, this became his passion, John was born to play the guitar and only went for one lesson, but he was too advanced for his teacher. He got into Rock music and in particular Thin Lizzy, where he excelled, and mastered his craft. But he was so much more than a musician, John was a people person, and gave his time generously, he loved his mam, he had a fantastic sense of humour, and an infectious smile, that lit up every room he walked into. John will be sadly missed by so many people, which was evident, by the amount of people that turned up for him, and it is now impossible to hear a Lizzy song, without thinking of him.
Rest well old pal, this old town, won't be the same without you
R.I.P John (Rock Legend)

I am going to miss John. He was one of the finest people I have ever met. An extremely kind-hearted man who was always in great form whenever I met him. He had an infectious personality that always improved my mood (no matter how good or bad you were feeling at the time).

John was one of Nature's true gentlemen. It was our great fortune to have known him and to have been considered one of his friends.

Thanks Maestro. See you up there.

There was always time. Till there wasn’t. It was an honour to know you. A privilege to watch you work. A joy to watch you with a guitar in your hands where it looked like it was made to sit. I’m glad to be able to say I was your friend. And you were mine. I’ll miss you. And I’ll keep missing you. Goodnight John.

So sorry Jean and family for the loss of your beautiful boy John. And to everyone else who knew and loved him. Between all his roles he touched the hearts of many who will never forget him and his smile and his gentle ways.
He was one of the finest and steadiest guitarists I have ever had the pleasure of performing alongside and we were right there together for some career highs.. I am forever grateful to have known him for part of this journey.
He will never be forgotten.
May he sleep at peace in the arms of the Lord and may his tone ring true across the heavens.
