I knew John through my time in Hibernian/ Aviva.
We had great fun at our Christmas gatherings. He narrowly avoided a Christmas crew cut one year....thankfully better sense prevailed.

I worked with John when he led the annual AECI conference, John was an absolute gent, looked after the conference with such care and commitment in every detail. John looked after us for over 30 years, not only our business but he also took care of the wider family and colleagues. He was exceptional, dedicated and thorough. His attention to detail gave us great confidence. John would always make sure that everything was covered off. It was lovely to chat to him over the phone, he was a gentle and kind man who went the extra mile for his clients. We felt he was as much part of our team as he was of Arachas. I was very sad and shocked to hear of the passing of John. We went to Drimnagh Castle and had several mutual friends growing up , which allowed me get to know John very well .
