I have many lovely memories of working with John in SuperValu.
One in particular was a Friday evening before an All Ireland, in which Kerry was playing.
Mag Jones and John were having a pre-match discussion and at the end of their chat Mag said “We’ll win alright with the help of God”
With a broad smile John replied “Let’s hope on Sunday he’s a Kerry Man”.

Johns earthly work is now done.
