I have very fond memories of John as a young boy, he was always kind and it is no surprise to hear, he was a true gentleman. I spent many a happy day in Rockwell Terrace as a friend to Mary Claire. Fond memories of John on summer holidays in Burrane and I on holidays up the road in Skeaf Cottage. Uncle Jim would load us and as many as he could fit into his open back truck and drive us all to Courtmacsherry Regatta.
What banter and laughter we had on the road down sitting on our home-made stools.
