I had the pleasure of sitting beside John for 8 years at Boherbue National School.
He was always even tempered and displayed exceptional intelligence, discipline, sincerity and a quiet determination that ensured his success.
Seosaimhin & the family have lost a great husband & father.
Sorry to hear of your father's passing thinking of you
Dear friends. It is with great sadness that I heard of John's passing. I will always remember his friendliness, kindness and generosity shown to me at a personal level, as well as his tremendous support during my time as chaplain to UL. The chaplaincy would not be what it is today without all his support over the years. I am so sorry that I am unable to be at his funeral but will remember him at Mass here in Hong Kong. My hearfelt condolences to you all. Koenraad
Dear Seosaimhin and family: My deepest sympathy on the death of dear John. It is a very sad time for you and may you be consoled by remembering all the wonderful and socially valuable accomplishments which John has to his credit. He will be sadly missed by all. My kind regards at this very sad time: Noel Whelan
