The 1st time I met Johnny was in Coolbawn, we had just rented a house from Tom & Mary and they invited us over on Xmas night for a game of cards. I must say Johnny was a true gent a fantastic player always seemed to have the joker haha and always had a cheeky smile, we began with 45 & then on 110 which by the way took all night we were lucky to finish up in time for breakfast. Well when Johnny will walk in the Gates of Paradise & see all his love ones gone before him he'll hear Tom telling him to pull up a pew and when he sees whos at the table he sits right down its like being back in Coolbawn again with Bessie John George, Kathleen Edith & Nora making the tea. What a game it will probably go on forever. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Deepest sympathy to all who knew Johnny
