Blarney has lost a character. The only person who has and probably ever will ask me to check him in online for a flight with a bus pass!
I will always remember you with fondness and will miss your cheeky humour. Rest in Peace Jonny x

To my very good friend Johnny. Its hard to believe you have gone and wont see you anymore around Blarney and Tower
We had some great laughs over the years in Christys bar with all the crew and bar staff.
Johnny was an honest gentle soul and liked by all who knew him.
He had lots of friends but a few great friends who looked out for and took care of Johnny when he needed help with anything.
So now I will say goodbye my dear friend Johnny
Blarney and Tower wont be the same without you

The highlight of my day was seeing Small Johnny walk in through the doors of Christy's bar to meet his friends. He was a great character with a larger than life personality. We had some great laughs with him over the years.

He was an absolute gentleman who was loved by all in the village. He was a great friend who will be dearly missed.

I was absolutely saddened on hearing of the passing of Johnny,, A kind, genuine, honest soul., several things I remember of Johnny, but one thing is he was a proud Cork man and especially Dunmanway,where I brought him to on a few occasions to visit the grave of his late parents, and on the return journey I could see a very poignant expression on his face.,A man small in stature but with a huge heart, loved by all, young and old all over Blarney and further afield., may I extend my deepest sympathies to all his extended family at this very sad time,. So now Johnny, wherever you lay to rest, May it be in eternal peace.!
