Gwen, Words try to express thoughts and meanings much like verbatim transcripts, it has to be accurate. John was a true gentleman. I remember when he walked me back to the hotel when Smithfield was a bit dodgy and tirelessly worked with you on those overnight rushes. My thoughts and prayers are with you, losing your partner in business and life is hard to reconcile with. But taking the journey with that person leaves you with a lifetime of memories.

To Gwen, and John's extended family members.

Although we are very sad to hear that John has died, it is comforting to know, that he is finally free of all the pain and anxiety associated with his awful illness. An illness which he bore and fought, with such strength and enormous courage.

Dwelling on the sad and difficult times which John endured is futile, as I am quite sure that God will reward him greatly for all that he suffered. Instead, I am sure he would rather we remember the happy times, and to stay focused on the lovely memories we each carry.

Paul and I lived next door to John and Gwen in Malahide, and had some lovely times together. I remember when going out to dinner, John would always open and close the car door for me. Forever the perfect gentleman.

When John's illness began to take its toll on him , himself and Paul would go for many walks together. They were special times shared with two good friends. Memories to be treasured forevermore.

John, may God escort you in to heaven in the same gentle and courteous way that you treated your fellow man whilst here on earth.

We will miss you, but never forget you.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr O'Hare. I have such fond memories of him visiting the store with his family.
