To add to those deserved tributes to John........Sincerest condolences to all of John’s extended family , friends and particularly his niece Irene .....John was a wonderful man to meet each year with so many others now departed, at the Annual Collins Griffith commemoration on the second Sunday in August .....with Mass at Berkeley road Church and afterwards the graves in Glasnevin cemetery......( and maybe in Berminghams later)....the rigour , candour and authentic republicanism , John brought to those occasions was always enlightening.....with his opinions and his life story ...his Christmas cards from the uk (!) were always treasured....thank you John and may you now rest in peace RIP
