Mr O’ Mahony was the best teacher and nicest man sallins national school ever had , he was a wonderful teacher to me always took the time to help me . Will be sorely missed

Only heard of John's passing over the weekend. I couldn't believe it. He gave me subbing work in Dunmore and I really enjoyed my visits there. He always had a smile on his face and always on for a bit of craic. He ran the school so well. Highly organised with a great team of teachers. He is such a loss to so many. He touched so many peoples lives which can be seen so clearly by the condolence messages. Our thoughts are with you Mary and your family.
