We were shocked and devastated to hear of John’s untimely passing. His loss is profoundly felt by all who knew him.

John was a wonderful neighbour, a fellow cycling enthusiast, a fun-loving, giving and caring friend and one of the finest gentlemen you could ever meet. He was a dedicated, loving, and proud husband and father, our thoughts, prayers and love are with Mary, Fiona and Catriona.

We are shocked at such a sudden and tragic death. John was the helpful neighbour, the person you’d meet on the bog road with the chat. He was outgoing and alway wore a smile to greet you. There was fun and interest in him and he was always enthusiastic. He had a keen sense of how things worked out. He was an avid cyclist with a great engine and was one of the main characters in Annaghdown cycling. He will be missed in the parish and by ourselves.
