My sincere sympathies to all of John's family on his sad passing. I worked for John at Cuisine de France in the UK in the late 90's & was delighted to meet again when I rejoined Aryzta in 2018. John was always so full of energy, passion and fun. He will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.

We knew John in Naas over 40 years ago. He was a big part of a group of young people centred around the parish folk group. Back then he was a very warm and kind young man who had a great sense of fun. From the many condolence messages submitted, John clearly didnt change as he grew older.

Lorraine and Eóin - so heartbroken for your loss.

John was unique. Funny, intelligent, driven. A best best friend for over 40 years. Unfaltering. Supportive. He was Mr. Motivator. No challenge was too big - in his personal life and business. Always up for the craic and a joy to keep company with. Since hearing of his passing, all I can think of are the hundreds of wonderful times together. I am blessed to have known him and to have had him as a friend.

To Teresa - thanks for putting up with my visits and the mayhem. Always a fond welcome in the O'Neill household. And the best of chat and humour. So sad for you today.

To Donald, Pat, Jean and Anne - all my love and appreciation for your wonderful brother. Missing him so much.

I was so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I had the privilege of working with John as a supplier to the Cuisine de France business in its early days. His passion and energy were truly inspiring, and his enthusiasm for the brand was a driving force behind its success.

More than that, John was an incredibly kind, honest and caring person. We met up occasionally over the years, and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. John was always warm, genuine, engaging, and full of life. He’ll be fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune to know him.
