I wish to offer my my sincere sympathies to John's family. I was very sorry to read of John's death. RIP.
We often had to call on John's assistance at Bray Library, to deal with various emergencies. John was ever obliging and went to great lengths to
clear up many challenging obstructions.
He was a very diligent and thorough worker.
I also remember John's tremendous interest in and knowledge of numismatics. John was really a pioneer in this area of discovery.
May John Rest in eternal Peace.

Deepest sympathy to all the family at this sad time. Worked with John in the Enniskerry area for the council. He picked me up every morning in my early days before I got driving. He was always good for the banter and debate and very knowledgeable.He portrayed a stern persona but he really had a soft heart behind it all and would help you out if he could. He loved his children and spoke of them often, also his dog who came to work with him and Spain which he told us endless stories of. May you rest in peace now John.
