I was sad to hear that Seán has passed away to his eternal reward but I did not hear in time to pay my respects at the funeral.
I worked with Seán in Banada N.S. many years ago for a brief period and have fond memories of chats/debates over coffee. An interesting character who was firmly rooted in his community and passionate about his many interests.

He was an amazing community man and a dear friend of my dad Larry, they were always hatching some new idea and reminiscing on times' past. I am shocked and saddened to read the death notice of mine and my late husband Joe's dear dear friend your beloved dad Sean. My heartfelt sympathy to the Owens family . Sean in our house was part of the family always so kind and generous . Every time he called be it a social visit or on his way to a Charolais meeting or sale he always brought me fresh vegetables and flowers from his tunnel. Sean and Joe travelled the length of Ireland North and South,France and England to shows sales and meetings and Martin
was usually with them .Recently i watched his powerful video in north west hospice and celebrate his birthday. Sorry i cant be with you . Rest easy dear Sean after a life well lived . Rest in peace
