So very sorry to learn of John's passing. Our deepest condolences to Jennie, Jean, Fiona, William and Lorraine. You all have a very special place in our hearts along with our fondest memories. RIP John.

Sincere sympathy to Jennie and Sorohan family on the sad death of John. He will be remembered by many of his colleagues for his representation and leadership in the early days of RTÉ.

To all the Sorohan family, sincere sympathies on the loss of your father. My own father, the late John Kelly, also a great Leitrim man, worked in RTÉ for many decades and always spoke fondly regarding his friendship and collegiality with John. Your father was also personally involved in helping me get sponsorship funding as a teenager, during the 1980’s, with “O’Neill’s”, not sure exactly how, but I do recall having to write a letter to John, and it was considered favourably.

John’s sense of public service and values are needed more than ever today and I do hope his legacy motivates others to follow his trail.

I do hope that the many happy memories, alongside John’s achievements bring each of you comfort at this time.
