Dear Olwen - I was saddened to hear of Pat's passing and extend my sympathy to you at this painful time. My memory of Pat is travelling home with him from High School in the fifties on a 15A as he drew fantastical flying saucers and supplied all the technological infrastructure of spaceships. I thought he'd be heading for NASA. May the Lord bless you as you recover.

and family.
In the late 1940s/50s gangs of kids wandered the streets of Castle Park and Crannagh Road, every kids Parent was the other kids Auntie or Uncle, and the Golf Course was No Mans Toboggan Land.
There was one ginger headed Bunter type from Castle Park who Ma hit a pretty mean ball, and a curly haired young one from the Crannagh side who Dads company pushed Woodbines. How they got together I am not sure but The Wicklow might have had an influence.
I would now like to send my deepest sympathy to their prodigy Tara, John, and Kerry ,their families, and of course their Mum Olwen.
Pat you did a great job here on earth including with those Fish and the Sinclair.
You blessed many with your mostly quiet Humor and Knowledge.
