Dear Keith, Maria, Kate, Anna and Louisa, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of Paddy. We now know what grief feels like and want you to know that we are thinking of you at this time.

My deepest sympathies to Paddy’s family on his passing. Many memories shared with Paddy at various sporting venues throughout the country after leaving RTÉ. I can’t help but smile thinking about the time he told us about his wife purchasing a certain kitchen appliance after he having removed the fuse from it before he headed off on an OB. RIP Paddy.

I was so sorry to hear of Paddy’s passing. Paddy was such a gentleman. I will always remember with fondness the many conversations with him at Ard na Mara whether at the Kate, Anna and Louisa’s communions, or during the Summer days when I popped over for a coffee with Maria and Paddy was there tending the garden. He was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his grandchildren and brought warmth and kindness to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Grief is the last act of love we have to give those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there was great love.
