Jeri, I was at a social event in Portnoo this afternoon (1st August) where Fergus O'Hagan told me the sad news of John's passing. In retirement one is "out of the loop" and news,good or bad, often comes late. I have fond memories of John going back to our early years at the Bar and as members of the Midland Circuit. He was the best of company and was quite the philosopher ! He was also a great barrister,in the old style, who got many a good result for his clients over the course of a long career. My condolences to you Jeri and all John's family. May he rest in peace.
