So sorry to hear the sad news of Ray’s passing. Nippy was a friend to everyone, especially when we were growing up in Tullamore. He was great fun and there was never a dull moment when you were in his company. Deepest sympathy to Paul, Carmel and Ray’s family in the USA. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Very saddened and shocked to learn of the untimely passing of the Legend that was the bauld 'Nippy Norton'. He was truly one of life's great characters and no doubt will be sorely missed by so many. We had some great chats in recent years reminiscing about our childhood days in Tullamore. He had the most incredible memory and a gift for recounting stories and events from 55+ years ago as though they had happened just yesterday. I hope he hasn't written a book!!!

My heart is heavy hearing about John's passing. John had a laugh that could be heard from afar and felt within. Thank you John for the many talks about life, the empathy you showed me when I loss my mom and the laughter that you could not contain even when putting your hands over your mouth. Though you started off as my Supervisor, you turned into my friend. I would often tell John he was my Irish grandpa and he would smile and sometimes say am I that old Shoulders?. I never experienced having a grandfather but John's compassion, empathy, talks about life and career options felt as such.
My sincerest condolences to his wife Cindy and as he would say, his Boys. John loved you guys so much. I pray over time your hearts heal. Hold onto the memories as that's what keeps our loved ones alive in our hearts.
