Sincere condolences to the Reardon Family on the passing of John.
He and my late husband, Harry, were life long friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

I was very sorry to hear that John had passed away. I met Alex in the nursing home in the very early part of 2020. Little did we know what the year would bring. May he rest in peace.

We were more than fortunate to have John as our next door neighbour for over 30 years and we were made welcome from day one. It may be a record but not once was there a cross word passed in that time. Rather, you were greeted almost daily by that ever present smile and a chat about golf , rugby and a critique of the current political situation- its no secret to say he was not impressed by the political establishment!
John bore his illness with great dignity and courage and was always in good form no matter what confronted him.
A kind and gentle man , and a very special neighbour he will be greatly missed by all of us.

Denis. Sandra,Caroline and Alec... My deepest and sincerest sympathises on your Dear Dad's passing. I have wonderful and happy memories of my times in and out of the house in Woodlawn. Jo and John would always make you feel welcome in what was always a a warm and friendly home. They were both great walkers and loved each others company. John was also one of the cutest golfers I ever encountered. I vividly remember a few foursomes out in Mahon. Us young lads were trying to drive the ball like John Daly off the tee. We kept going for our Woods off the Tee: 1's and 3's, striking the ball into trees and water, everywhere but straight out on the fairway: clocking up 6,7 and 8's on the green... Your Dad's Driver stayed in the bag for the day, out came a 3 Iron and he parred his way around the course. He was a gentleman to the core on those days and every day. Out in Mahon he always did his best to hide his smiles from us, after observing our wayward shots, our expletives and cursing. Go dtuga Dia suaimhneas siorrai do..
