I'm so sorry to his family and friends and loved ones. I know John years. I'm originally from the Marsh Road too. I used to love seeing him and his friends come into the resource centre were I worked. I'd often join them in a cuppa and have a chat with them. He will be missed by many. X

I was very sorry to hear of John's passing a real gentleman loved to chat with him. My Sincere Sympathy to all his Family. John gave great time and assistance to the Red Cross. He will be rewarding up in Heaven no doubt. Rest in Everlasting Peace John.

I came to know John on my visits to the Drogheda Resource Centre when he had breakfast with the regulars who frequented our canteen. He was a nice person and I always enjoyed our conversations. He was extremely pleasant, courteous, and very proud of his Red Cross membership. I sympathise with his family and the Red Cross on his sad demise.
