and taught me so much, he would put McIver to shame! We will miss you so much,

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of John Ryan. I remember the first year I joined Lucan Golf Club I played my first round of golf in a four-ball with John. He was very considerate and patient as I was a novice. He was very informative with some tips and explaining some of the rules of golf to me. Every time I played or met him after that he always enquired as to my well being and wanted to know how Offaly Gaa was doing with me being from there originally. He will be sadly missed. He was a true gentleman. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to all his family and friends.
