So sorry to hear of John’s passing A great golfing pArtner who will be sadly missed RIP
John's resilience and good humour over the past months was an inspiration to all of us who had the pleasure of training with him at our Aikido club. Every Tuesday and Sunday for my 22 years there John arrived at the club with the hand of friendship and the smile of welcome extended. 'Well how are you Ian old son' was his refrain. Terribly missed. Our thoughts are with Anne, Damien, Eimear and their families. Ian, Estelle, Luke and Jake.
Anne, Damien, Eimear, Ailish, Moyra and Brendan , my deepest sympathy on the death of dear John. May he rest in peace with his God all his days. With you all in Spirit and Prayer.

I thought of this poem as I passed your house this morning,
the air bright and the flowers shining in the sun,
your family there and you surrounded by love.
You were a happy soul. God Bless.
Rest peacefully Aikidoman.
Daffodils by William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
the air bright and the flowers shining in the sun,
your family there and you surrounded by love.
You were a happy soul. God Bless.
Rest peacefully Aikidoman.
