Dear John, you were my first listener to my programme All Things Legion on Radio Maria who rang in to leave a comment. In 2018 the programme was called the Frank Duff Hour. Thank you for a couple of letters of encouragement telling me that you liked my programme content about Frank Duff and the people who inspired him. I will treasure them. I was thrilled that a Legionary as experienced as you liked my programme. You inspired me and i valued your opinion. Thank you for the lovely chats on the phone and for inviting me to my first Patrician Meeting in Annunciata Curia in Rathmines.

Deepest sympathies to all the Byrne family on the passing of your beloved John.

John was a great friend since I first joined the Legion of Mary in Rathmines. He was a very kind and friendly man who regularly collected me for meetings and on our many visitation duties.

John will be very sadly missed by myself and my Mother, Dymphna.

Rest in Peace.
Dear John,
It was wonderful to know you for 25 years, in the Legion. Your faith, example and wisdom were an invaluable help to me in my Legion service.
We had many memorable visits to homes in Rathmines parish and I have the particular memory of you, in your eighties, delivering Parish Dues Envelopes, in the snow and the rain, going up steep steps and down again. What an inspiration you were. Remember us from your place with Our Lady, as the Legion goes forward in its battle with the darker forces and hidden powers. Rest in peace John.
Sean you were a wonderful uncle and I always considered you like my grandad, I will always have fond memories of you, the bread van, dinners in my mams house and all the knowledge you had of local history around Dublin. Thank you for everything you did for my mam and my family. Rest In Peace Uncle Sean, we love you dearly 🖤
