I knew Sean for years, i use to chat with him when he was on the corbawn lane walking his dog. May he rest in peace.

Very sad to learn of Sean’s death.
He, John O’Mahony and I were bank colleagues in Cork and shared, very happily, what purported to be a flat!
The mutual respect we had then, survived the years and the separation of our careers .I have fond memories of Sean and particularly of the honour of being his best man .

I have known Sean for over 30 years , largely as a result of our joint interest in amateur radio which included spending over 10 days with 6 other radio operators called the Fastnet Force Seven on the Fastnet LIghthouse back in 1991..... a real pleasure to have him part of the team ..a gentle man who will be sadly missed

Sean was a man of great integrity, motivated by a range of strong values and high standards together with a keen interest in and kindness towards the members of his team.

Sean was such a kind, caring and generous 'boss' in T & D. He was so proud of Brid and his boys and took such interest in our families/careers.
Loved every minute working with/for Sean and times with Brid and Sean even after leaving BoI.
Also loved hearing his radio adventures. A highlight being a video of his days on Fastnet Rock.

I worked for Seán in the Bank of Ireland Training Centre in the 80s. He was a beautiful man. He cared deeply for his staff. We had many wonderful staff gatherings in his home. I am so sad to hear of his death and unfortunately can’t attend his funeral. I will never forget Seán … he was very, very special 🙏🏼

Seán, was a passionate amateur radio operator who made many friends both in Ireland and abroad through our hobby. He was always a friendly face encouraging others to partake in the wonderful world of radio. Over the years he served the National society in many roles, including President from 2003 to 2006 for which we are truly grateful. A true gentleman who will be missed.

I was so sorry to learn that Seán has died. He was an absolute gentleman with an integrity that truly impressed me. I have always remembered and appreciated Seán's kindness to me when he was Head of Training in Bank of Ireland. His support went way beyond what I could have expected from someone in such a senior role - nothing was too much trouble to him. Condolences to all Sean's family - he was one of a kind.
