John (Seán) Fegan

My deepest and sincerest condolences on the passing of Seán. I worked with Seán in the Coimisiun Le Rincí Gaelacha and he made the working day so much fun. He told jokes and stories and had a great outlook on life. When I would take a trip out to Dalkey, as I knew he lived in Sorrento Heights, I would often think of him and wonder how he was keeping.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Seán's family.

May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to the Fegan family on their loss of Sean. He was a true gentleman and we were friends, going back to our time dancing with Mr Mac. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Saddened to learn that Seán has been called home to his well earned eternal reward. Although he had been in ill health in recent years, he fought the good fight to the end, always proud of his status and standing among the Irish dance community worldwide. Solas na bhFlaitheas dó.

Ireland and the world of Irish Dancing mourns the passing of a thorough gentleman. He now goes to join his former dance teacher the late Harry McCaffrey, whom I knew well from my dancing days. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

So Sean after many long battles you have finally left the stage and gone to "HallaC". Knowing you for so long and with our shared past coming from the same stable was special for me. We danced together, competed against each other and I learned so much from you. You had great respect for our dancing master and McCaffrey School and you were very proud of "The Green & GOLD" which you often sang about with the finishing line of "we are the green and gold forever". Mr. Mac as we all knew him by would have been proud of you. So thank you for all of your friendship, advise and help throughout the years. We will all miss you, your sense of humour and wit and for just being there for everyone. Sean you were unique.

Memories come floating back of bygone days when we danced for Harry McCaffrey. Those were great days. Sean was a Champion dancer and his dedication to Irish Dancing and appreciation of our culture never ceased.
