Fond memories of Sean O Connell as my teacher in Callow national school before it closed and then in Kingsland national school. Over the years I often thought of Sean so fair to say he had a positive influence on me. Wishing my condolences to all Sean’s family . RIP Sean

So sorry to hear of the passing of John. I had the privilege and pleasure of teaching with John in Scoil Éinde back in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s. He was a wonderful colleague and friend and a truly kind and caring teacher.

John was my Grand uncle. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Always had time for everyone. I remember we would always do a quiz at nan’s house every Sunday and it used to be the highlight of the day. He will be dearly missed. I love you

Integrity,Kindness,Decency,Mildness and respect for others are just some of the words that came to my mind when I learned of the sad passing of Sean O’Connell.
About 62 years ago on my first day in Callow School, Frenchpark was the first time I met Sean. Every encounter thereafter including up to about 15 years ago was always a pleasure.You always came away feeling better having met Sean.
I wish to offer my deepest condolences to the O’Connell and Mc Dermott Families at this sad time.
