Unbeknown to Sean at the time, in the early seventies, he was an influencing factor on the lives of the many cousins in the large O’Keeffe clan. His hard work and study earned him a Chief Engineers Marine Ticket. It was a wonderful moment for his family, siblings and in particular his proud father Josie. (My Uncle).
Others within the greater family went on to do the same. Some as they worked during the day decided to do their further education by night to help their future prospects and open other avenues.
He created a buzz for knowledge. In a time when finance was scarce the parents of us cousins found a way.
Thank you Sean, may you rest in beautiful peace. Thank you Uncle Josie.
