Rest in peace Sean. Such a lovely, kind man and inspirational and encouraging fiddle player to so many younger musicians in London and beyond, which I'm so thankful for.
Would encourage anyone interested to look up his duet tracks with Bobby Casey on Paddy in the Smoke album from 1967 (to which we are thankful to Reg Hall).

A wonderful person & character
In every beautiful way;
Born to Mollie & Batt
Parents from Monaghan & Kerry
His wonderful personality
Made people happy, jolly & merry

Born in lovely London
During the war
Hr would grow up to play Irish music
Music that made people's spirit's soar;
The eldest of three
Sister Margaret brother Jerome
He lived most of his life in Ealing
But in his later years Ireland became his home

He went to St Joseph's, Hanwell
Then to Cardinal Vaughan
Where he excelled at many things
As to the Manor born;
He joined the Police Force
When very young
Wherever he went in life
He always brought his happiness, joy & fun

He met & married lovely Mary
From Galway in the Emerald Isle
They were a God blessed couple
Who created many a smile;
Geraldine, Martin & Shaun
Were their children three
Who like their parents
Created much happiness & glee

He was a fabulous fiddle player
Played many a jig & reel
Foot tapping music
That made people happy feel;
Recorded many times
To many an inspiration
This wonderful man
Who played music of the Irish nation

Some years ago
He returned to Meath with his wife
To be near daughter & grandchildren
A new phase of life;
Mary passed on some years ago
On All Ireland Sunday John did depart
Leaving many happy memories
And his joy & spirit in many a person's heart
