jesse and all johns extended family on the very sad passing of john. He was leader of the walking club in limerick and always planned long never ending walks. When we complained he always told us we were near the end, all lies of course. He always made sure there was a seafood chowder few pints and steak at the end knowing everyone would be happy. He was a private man but we all knew how much he loved his family and how proud he was of his children. He was a kind and compassionate prison officer and you always felt safe when he was around. He was a great listener but we were always ready for his advice which usually would be cop on. When reading these condolences witty and a real gentleman was repeated many times which is very true. You went too soon john and you will be missed my friend.
