Can’t believe that I am only hearing this as Killoe collect the Connolly cup again..John was an outstanding club man and so many guys have football honours because of the dedication of John Reilly..to his wife Philomena and family and to all his club mates in his beloved Emmet Og I offer my deepest condolences..John was an outstanding man who enjoyed life and loved to chat and have a laugh.He was a witty man who had a great sense of humour…we have lost a character and he will be greatly missed…may his gentle soul rest in peace..

I played football under John at under age and Junior level and have very fond memories of him. He loved his football but my fondest memories of him will always be his hilarious one liners - he was a very funny man! He was also a very generous man and gave me lifts to matches on numerous occasions!

John will be sorely missed by the Killoe community. He was a Killoe legend and played a big part in many of our lives growing up playing football for Killoe. May he rest in peace.
