John (Seán) Sammon

John, you left us WAY too soon, God's gain is our loss. RIP, my old teammate.

I have just seen the sad news of the passing of Sean ie fishy as he was known, had the pleasure of playing gaa football with Kilmore back in the late eighties, he was a great character and a great fullback on the team. I have fond memories of him, my condolences to the Sammon family on his untimely passing. Rip Sean never to be forgotten 🙏

We had many great memories of him at games and social occasions after games.

I was very sad to hear the news about John. I played GAA with John at St. Davids and he was a great player, a great Captain and a real good person. I know he is up there with Dad now, watching GAA and most likely having a pint or two. My condolence to his family, he will be sadly missed by so many! RIP Big Man!

He was lionhearted on the field of play and quick to have a laugh off it. His skill and ability in football and hurling were renowned at school club and county level.
