I know that Uncle John lived a rich and loving life, and he was revered by many. I wish I had been afforded the chance to know him better in life, but through my father, his brother Paul, I feel that I have a clear picture of a man who was inspiring, intelligent, fair, loyal and was staunchly proud of his family and where he came from. When I did have the chance to speak with him, I immediately knew that all of the love and admiration he received from others was well-deserved, and I was grateful to have been able to share even a few conversations with the man. He will be missed, and remembered with fondness and respect. Much love to Ciss, Claire, Christine and Jonathan, and all of their families.

Ciss, Claire, Christine, Jonathan and extended family, we are so sadden at the passing of John. He was a great neighbour and friend to us all, always in good form and ready for a chat and was so proud of all his grandkids. We were shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Seán. I always enjoyed bumping into Seán on the road. I will miss our conversations about sports of all kinds but especially The Dubs. An absolute gentleman who we were lucky to call our neighbour and friend. Our thoughts are with you and your family, who Seán spoke of with such pride whenever we met. May he rest in peace.
