I offer my sincere sympathy to all who mourn John and grieve over the loss of him in their lives. With kind regards, Andrew
Sandra and David - I have only just heard about the death of your Dad. I remember both of your parents as lovely people when you were our next door neighbours. I was always fascinated by the fact they went skiing when it was most definitely an exotic activity. They inspired me to want to ski and as soon as I got a chance I took up skiing myself and I love it to this day.
I’m sorry to hear your Dad died. I send you my condolences and may he Rest In Peace.
Always great to ski with, great memories of you and Val.

Thank you John for giving me a home when nobody else would because I didn't have a job. Rest in peace now.
'The Sharper' walks into our family Christmas Eve party and every year the room lights up. My Dad roars an inappropriate welcome; Johnny grins from ear-to-ear. He comes and says Hi to us kids - always with a remembered question about our little lives. Always smiling as he accepted a burning glass of Dad's vicious mulled wine. What a great memory for us Crisps to treasure. I've no doubt that all the Sharpes have so many more, richer moments to comfort you about the great man. We'll all miss him terribly. With deep sympathy.
To David, Natasha and the extended Sharpe family. Please accept our sincere condolences on John’s passing and may he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of the death of John Sharpe - until relatively recently, he had been a larger than life presence in our Voluntary Veterinary Clinic in Drumcondra. For 50 years, he ministered to the cats and dogs of North Dublin - through the various stages of their too short lives. Revered by their owners and admired by the many volunteers who assisted him on Monday and Thursday evenings. Condolences to his family - Be assured - he will be missed - but not forgotten.

Marie O'Byrne, on behalf of Committee and Volunteers - past and present.
Deepest sympathy to all the family. Remembering happy times with John in Dun Laoghaire baths and Otter Swimming Club.

My thoughts and prayers with Hilary and Mr. Sharpe's Children, grandchildren and extended family.
I have so many fond memories of him over the last 26 years that I have known him. He taught me everything I could need to know that sent me into the Veterinary field. I wouldn't be where I am today without such a great role model.
I'm sure I speak for everyone who knew him when I say that he was a larger than life character and will be sorely missed. I know everyone in the North County Dublin SPCA where he was our lead vet for over 50 years will miss him deeply.
Dear David, Sandra, Hilary, Natasha and all the family, sending you heartfelt condolences at this time. John was a lovely man. May he rest in peace. Lots of love, Marj & Sean
Very fond memories of my Border Collie 'Ruby' receiving such gentle loving care from John in the 70s... He was so caring, and I never recall him hurting her... He was a gentleman in every way, and a true epitome of a 'Gentle Man'... Not that Ruby appreciated that, though... She'd put the brakes on a hundred yards from the surgery door and glare at him on sight!

John was a wonderfully warm, and wise, and witty person with a huge heart... Endlessly generous with his time, his expertise, and himself...

May his gentle soul rest in peace, and rise in glory...

Rest easy, John...
Sincere sympathy to Sandra and David and their families on the sad passing of John.
