Our sincere sympathy to all John s family on his sad passing. He was truly a gentleman and was loved by us all in the Social Services and we will miss him. We had good fun trying to complete crosswords etc.
He was a very learned man and was up to speed with all that was going on. May John Rest in Peace.🙏

My deepest sympathy to the Smyth family on the passing of Johnny. I knew him all my life especially going back to when we were in the Tech in town from 1956-1960. I’d not made contact with him in recent years due to ill health because of depression from 2009 up to January 2025 but I’m now feeling great again. Brendan
