I have fond memories of working with John many years ago in my first job in telecomms. He was a great boss then and I am proud to call him a friend ever since. May he Rest In Peace.

I remember that day I called to collect the small electric heater from the back door porch and the beautiful boiled cahersiveen parsnip

in addition to the heater the parsnip and a beautiful freshly boiled generous portion of potatoe and boiled chicken too


Grateful I was when I arrived back in the city on that frosty evening

Granda always loved a cooked boiled dinner and boiled chicken used to be a favourite steamed potatoes in their jackets and a selection of freshly boiled vegetables

John your own Father worked with Granda in the job and a job both gentlemen were passionate and professional and caring in every aspect of the delicate tasks as they befell them

A thankless job in reality the urgency and necessity albeit for the most part and extreme limitation of both time line and protocols of the day

Taking these matters at whatever the hour and without any hesitation whatsoever and in the respect and patience and dedication that was befitting to all parties regardless of background or history
